What do you think about a foundation that provides financial assistance to individuals who need a product or service (that is not covered by insurance) that will enhance their wellness? The person would be referred by a wellness practitioner to the foundation and the product or service would be donated or offered at cost from merchants/practitioners. What are your thoughts or questions?

Very thoughtful idea. Ideally it would be executed as "Supplemental Wellness Insurance" that would cover all the non-western/nontraditional treatments. Of course, there are always medical savings accounts that can be used to help achieve this in a tax-deductible, self-funded way.
